Lübeck Leisure Activities

Because of its closeness to forrests, rivers and the Baltic Sea, Lübeck has quite many activites to choose from for relaxation and leisure. After having finished your sightseeing tour, just head for one of the many green areas and parks in and around Lübeck.


If you like making walk tours, there are many footpaths in the expansive forrests around Lübeck. It is recommendable, however, to get a map of the ways before you start your tour.

Another possibility of spending your leisure time and relax, is a boat trip on the one of the rivers: the Trave and the Wakenitz. On the Trave, many boat trips go for example to Travemünde, where you can enjoy a day at the beach. The boats on the Wakenitz go as far as Rothenhusen.

In the evening, you could visit and enjoy one of the cultural events in Lübeck. As the city is quite renowned for its cultural scene, the offer to choose from is quite extensive: there are not only theaters and puppet theaters that are loved by children as well as adults, but also quite renowned concert halls like the Music and Congress Hall. In addition, Lübeck is really famous for organ concerts that are carried out regularly in the main churches.
